Women in Construction Training Program.

The Matjhabeng Local Municipality's Human Settlement and Planning Department, led by MMC Mantinte Radebe, successfully launched the first day of a three-day Women in Construction Training Program.

This initiative is designed to empower women entrepreneurs by providing them with essential home-building and technical skills, thereby enhancing their capacity to contribute meaningfully to the construction industry.

This impactful program is made possible through strategic partnerships with the National Home Builders Registration Council (NHBRC) and the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB). ...

These collaborations underscore the commitment to fostering gender equality and advancing the professional growth of women in the construction sector.

As we commemorate 30 years of democracy and celebrate Women's Month, this program reflects our dedication to building a more inclusive and prosperous Matjhabeng for all.

Matjhabeng Local Municipality Proudly Handed Over Vital Patrolling Equipment to the Community Policing Forum (CPF) of the Bronville Cluster.

Today marks a significant step forward in our collective efforts to ensure a safer community in Matjhabeng. The Matjhabeng Local Municipality, in collaboration with Harmony Gold and the South African Police Service (SAPS), proudly handed over vital patrolling equipment to the Community Policing Forum (CPF) of the Bronville Cluster.

This important session was presided over by our MMC for Community Services and Public Safety, Cllr. Tlake Reuben, who emphasised the crucial role that community involvement plays in maintaining security in our neighborhoods.

The CPF is a cornerstone in our community, effectively bridging the gap between residents and law enforcement....

Through initiatives like these, we are fostering a cooperative relationship that empowers our citizens to be active participants in crime prevention.

By working hand-in-hand with the police, community members are not just observers but are directly involved in identifying and addressing safety concerns in their own neighborhoods.

This partnership is more than just a formal collaboration; it’s a shared commitment to creating a safer environment for all.

Together, we are building a community where everyone can live, work, and thrive without fear.

The Matjhabeng Local Municipality remains steadfast in its dedication to ensuring a crime-free society.

We will continue to support and invest in initiatives that enhance the safety and well-being of our residents.

The Acting Executive Mayor of Matjhabeng Local Municipality, Cllr. Hlobohang Mokhomo, along with the Member of the Mayoral Committee for Sports, Arts, and Culture, Cllr. Malehlohonolo Moipatli, paid tribute to Karabo Morapedi for his remarkable accomplishments in the field of sports.

Karabo, a dedicated athlete, competes in Boccia, a Paralympic sport that demands precision, control, and strategic thinking as participants aim to land balls as close as possible to a target.

Karabo's athletic prowess earned him the honor of representing South Africa at the prestigious Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, where he proudly showcased his talents on the international stage....

Born with cerebral palsy quadriplegia, a condition that affects all four limbs and presents significant physical and intellectual challenges, Karabo’s journey has been nothing short of inspiring. Refusing to let his disability define his future, he continues to break barriers and pursue his dreams relentlessly.

Beyond his sporting achievements, Karabo is also excelling academically. He recently graduated from the Central University of Technology, Welkom Campus, with a National Diploma in Public Management.

Demonstrating his commitment to education, he is currently pursuing an Advanced Diploma in Applied Public Management at the same institution, furthering his aspirations for personal and professional growth.

His story serves as a beacon of hope and determination, showing that with passion and perseverance, any challenge can be overcome.

The Matjhabeng community takes pride in celebrating Karabo’s achievements, recognizing him as an example of triumph over adversity and a source of inspiration for all.
